WELCOME TO HOUSTON PETS ALIVE!
Our Mission:
To promote and provide the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.
Where is the Need?
There are 1.2 million stray animals and two open-intake shelters in Houston. Our goal is to create a partnership with the city and county shelter with a focus to increase live outcome through robust adoption programs, high-volume spay and neuter partnerships, political advocacy and community education.
How We Operate:
Every day we receive a list of animals who are at risk of being put to sleep in less than 24 hours. We save as many animals as we have foster homes available. All animals are spayed and neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. In addition to rescue, we believe in high volume spay and neuter programs, education and political advocacy.
Who is Houston Pets Alive?
Houston Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 organization. We are comprised of animal loving volunteers that want to save lives. Our volunteers come from all professions including veterinarians, lawyers, housewives, students and more!
